Spyware Remover

To some randomly thinking about spyware remover might be strange, and I have to agree. This isn't so much a random thought, but a reflection on my past experiences. I was infected with a spyware application. It seems that in my surfing of sites I was infected, thanks to Internet Explorer. I thank Internet Explorer since it has been exploited by some people, and I do blame those who used the exploits, but I do plan Internet Explorer's designers for creating them. :( IE one way to get free spyware. ;)

Ok, my Spyware Remover Story

One day I was just surfing while working, I do that a lot. Having a level of ADD, I do not like waiting and seem to try to do too many things at once, and have several web browsers open at one. Well when was closing down web browsers to stop work I noticed that a browser window was open with the URL: TrafficExplorer (dot) com in it. It looked more like search results rather than a popup ad. I closed it and shut down my machine. Later I returned back to start work again, this time I only had a few web browsers open; so, the opening of an additional web browser window was noticeable. This time again I saw the URL: trafficexplorer (dot) com and once again, the page was full of search results, for like car leases. I thought it weird and decided I would run my antivirus. Anti-Virus Results: nothing. I didn't have a resident anti-spyware, but I do have scanners. Both anti-spyware scanners resulted in nothing. I so blew off my paranoia.

I only got about 15 minutes to blow off my spyware / virus infection paranoia, because it happened again. A new browser opened, and this time it had the same trafficexplorer URL and search results for another keyword. I was now on a hunt, cause something was wrong. I was quickly surprised during my searches for a spyware scanner or spyware remover, new browsers kept opening, and now I had different URL's. I was clearly infected now. No I have to point out, I could be infected with an application that does not steal personal information, so it might not be spyware, but I was infected with some malious file, I did not give permission to install and wanted it gone ASAP.

What I did, to remove the Spyware.

1. First I had to lock down my system. I used ZoneAlarm to prevent programs from going out and downloading any additional files to my machine. I had this theory that the spyware was updating faster than scanners were. I was pretty close to this, you'll read about it later.

2. Get the latest AntiVirus Scanner, and scan. Only a few antivirus scanners found something suspicious, but nothing positive enough to remove.

3. Get the latest Spyware Scanner, and scan. Only one worked. Meaning that it identified the spyware, but couldn't remove it. I waited a couple of days, after sending out samples of the infected files, and the same scanner came up with a spyware remover that worked. I proudly display its banner here:

Panda SpyWare Remover worked, not only did it remove the spyware I noticed, but found Internet Explorer had several toolbars that I never installed. When it comes to a spyware remover, I found Panda Rocks! It works both as an AntiVirus Scanner, and A Spyware remover, I highly recommend if you were going to spend money to pay for the safety of your computer, you start here.

Now how did locking down my system help the Spyware Remover?

It seems from all the blocked attempts from my computer to access the web, something was very actively trying to access files in Europe(I found this out via a IP address lookup). The spyware was trying to upgrade, and I held it from doing so long enough to allow for Spyware scanners, and Spyware Removers to update enough to safely remove the spyware from my system. Thank you ZoneAlarm, unlike firewalls that only prevent unwanted incoming web traffic, you prevented outgoing web traffic long enough to get my computer cleaned. I proudly display its banner here:

Having a good Spyware Scanner and Spyware Remover, can prevent damage that might be unrepairable. Can you answer this confidently: Have you backed up your information so that a complete computer crash won't cause you to loss files? Do you have enough free time in your life to spend a couple days reinstalling your operating system and all your files? Imagine losing your family photos, tax returns, passwords to all your online accounts.

Now imagine you don't have a system crash, heck spyware writers don't want that, because longer you operate with spyware, and ad ware, longer they can monitor your activities, or infect your friends via emails. Don't wait, act today, and protect yourself from malious programs.

Story's Point: Get A Spyware Remover Today!

Notice: I have shared my spyware infection experience not to provide a how to, since each infection it unique, but to warn you against possibility becoming infected yourself. People profit off of spyware, and by using scanners, and spyware removers, you can take a bite out of their profits. Maybe make creating spyware not worth it. So fight back, by not being a victim. :D
